03 BASIC TYPES OF WOVEN TEXTILES
1/ The plain weave (Plain 1:1)
Then this is the simplest weave we can imagine that the warp yarns will knit with the weft yarns in an up and down pattern.
Each weft knit above and below each warp, alternately in succession, creating a large number of intersection points.
Dotted woven fabric has the same 2-sided structure
Textured woven fabric has a strong and stiff texture, often used for fashion and home decoration fabrics.
2/ The Twill weave
Twill weave is a weaving method that creates a twill structure in the fabric.
In this way of weaving, the warp yarn will be knitted with the weft thread according to a certain rule up and down, also known as the vertical floating point, the horizontal floating point.
The twill fabrics are usually softer than the twill weaves, so they are generally much more resistant to wrinkling than the twill weave.
Twill is a weave with parallel diagonal stripes (different from satin and plain weave). This is done by knitting weft threads over one or more warp threads and then under one or more warp threads and repeat with a step pattern to create characteristic diagonal patterns.
The twill fabric technically has a front and back construction, while the plain weave has the same two sides. The front of the twill fabric is clearly embossed with diagonal lines; frequently used as the right side of the fabric, and as the visible side during weaving. It is generally accepted that the side with the obvious warp effect is the right side, and the side with the weft effect is the left side.
In this way a criss-cross pattern is formed, which can be observed in jeans. Depending on the direction of the diagonal pattern, it will be called S-direction diagonal or Z-direction diagonal.
3/ Satin weave
The third basic weave is the sectional weave, where the weft is knitted under one warp, then over at least two warp threads and so on according to the rule of fixed or variable pitch.
This will result in a top fabric with more parallel wefts, giving the fabric a sheen depending on the light shining on it.
This weave gives the fabric two sides: the left side and the right side (similar to a twill weave).
Linen weave is a fabric that is woven to create a beautiful surface. The fabric is nice but not durable.
Complex patterns can only be made by adjusting the warp threads on a loom, which has only been possible with Jacquard looms since the 19th century.

Stone Wash Denim?
25/10/2021
Stone washed denim gained popularity in the 1960s and remains popular to this day. This type of denim is characterized by a lightly distressed, vintage look. The name comes from the fact that the original processing method involved rubbing pumice stones over the denim to wear down the fabric. Pumice stones are the silica-rich, high-temperature melted product of explosive eruptions during the ascent and expulsion of the earth. These are lightweight, highly porous, rocky substances which will float on water. Major pumice stone–supplying countries are the United States, Turkey, Italy, Iceland, New Zealand, Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines. It is an important component of stonewashed apparels and is used to abrade the surface of the fabric to obtain a surface pattern effect with color contrast and a soft hand. Because the degree of abrasion may vary in different parts of garments, such as the trouser leg, button slays and seaming parts, a number of neutral patterns can be formed. The degree of the wash effect depends on the stone size, stone ratio, liquor ratio, duration of treatment, amount of garments loaded, garment’s grams per square meter, etc. Stone sizes vary from 1 to 7 cm in diameter. Other washes such as sand, micro and microsand wash are referring to the use of very small size pumice stones.
